This sun protective vest for women offers you UPF50 + protection and is very practical to take everywhere. It allows you to protect yourself from the sun quickly and gives your look a relaxed style. The fabric technology incorporates millions of tiny particles of zinc oxide - the same ingredient that's used to block UVA and UVB rays in the best sunscreens and to treat mild skin irritations and burns - into every fiber. These ZnO particles do not wash off and do not wear out:UPF50 + protection is therefore permanent.

This product is UPF 50+ certified.
UPF stands for "Ultraviolet Protection Factor". It is an index measuring the ability of a fabric or material to filter ultraviolet rays. The UPF 50+ index is the highest anti-UV certification in Europe, according to European standard EN 13758-1. A UPF 50+-certified UV garment blocks over 98% of UV rays, protecting your skin against possible burns and lesions.
By way of comparison, a cotton summer t-shirt often has a protection factor of UPF 5 or above. This means that 20% of UV rays pass through the fabric, which is a lot for someone who has to stay out of the sun or is exposed to it for long periods.

Ker Sun is above all a personal story. About ten years ago, Claudia, our co-founder, was diagnosed with Lupus, an autoimmune disease that forces her to be extremely careful with her sun protection. That day, she felt like she was losing some of her freedom. Like many, she no longer felt safe going outside.
