In Annecy, in the heart of the French Alps, we design our collections, select each fabric, create prototypes, and carry out UV-protection tests as well as quality control. Our team also provides attentive and accessible customer service there. From our logistics hub in Burgundy, in north-eastern France, your orders are carefully prepared and shipped worldwide.

This product is made in China, in the Shanghai region, a cradle of textile expertise recognised worldwide. Dyeing, weaving, tailoring – every step is carried out locally by our trusted partners, carefully selected for their know-how and the rigour of their production standards. This choice is deliberate: it allows us to combine outstanding quality, durability, and controlled pricing, without ever compromising your health.

For your safety, our UV-protective clothing is classified as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by the European Union. As such, it is subject to strict regulatory checks, ensuring reliable and lasting protection, as well as consistent quality.

And because your needs are not all the same, we have also developed a range of garments made in Portugal, using local fabrics that combine European craftsmanship and excellence.

Is this product suitable for my skin type?

Ker Sun’s UV-protective clothing and accessories are designed to provide high-performance protection for all skin types, including the most sensitive.

Certified UPF 50+ and classified as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with current European standards, our products offer the highest level of textile protection against UVA and UVB radiation as defined by regulations.

They help reduce UV exposure during outdoor activities, supporting a safer and more confident experience in the sun.

Does the UPF 50+ protection ever wash out?

The UPF 50+ protection does not wash out.

Our sun protective expertise has allowed us to develop fabrics that filter UV rays mechanically. Thanks to the meticulous choice of textile fibers, their optimized density and our advanced weaving techniques, we guarantee a UPF 50+ protection, without added sunscreens, which persists throughout the life of the product, even after many washes.

To preserve the quality and durability of your product, we recommend that you follow care instructions carefully specified on this product sheet (see above) or on the label.

Do I need to apply sunscreen underneath my UPF 50+ clothing?

With Ker Sun sun protective clothing and accessories, there’s no need to apply sunscreen on covered areas.

However, for full protection, it’s important to apply sunscreen to any exposed skin. We recommend applying sunscreen 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapplying every two hours or after swimming, in accordance with the instructions for the product you’re using.

Which certification or standard does this product meet for sun protection?

Ideal pour nager et marcher au soleil

Operee de 4 carcinomes sur le visage et le corps je ne sors plus au soleil sans un t~shirt à manches longues, les mitaines, le pantalon, le masque ou le chapeau ker sun. Livrés tres vite. Très agréables à porter, je les lave chaque jour et ils sèchent tres vite. Sans ces vêtements je ne pourrais pas passer l’été sur un bateau comme je le fais. Merci Ker Sun.

Ne supporte pas plusieurs lavages, est fabriqué en Chine, le comble lorsque l’on souhaite acheter français. Cela discrédite votre marque à mes yeux, avec une impression de s’être faite arnaquée.

Concernant la tenue du tissu au lavage, soyez rassurée : nos vêtements anti-UV ont été rigoureusement testés, à la fois en laboratoire et en conditions réelles. Après de très nombreux lavages, la performance de protection solaire reste intacte, avec un indice UPF 50+ certifié selon la norme européenne EN 13758-1.

Si toutefois vous constatez un défaut ou un problème de qualité, n’hésitez pas à nous envoyer des photos à bonjour@ker-sun.com. Notre équipe analysera la situation avec attention afin de trouver une solution adaptée.

Pour ce qui est de la fabrication, voici quelques éléments de transparence que nous jugeons essentiels :
1️⃣ Ker Sun est une entreprise française fondée et basée à Annecy.
2️⃣ Toute la recherche et le développement de nos vêtements est réalisée depuis Annecy : création des collections, conception des modèles, choix des matières, développement des prototypes et contrôle qualité.
3️⃣ La fabrication est ensuite confiée à des ateliers au Portugal, en Tunisie et en Chine, sélectionnés pour leur expertise technique spécifique dans les vêtements anti-UV.
4️⃣ Ces partenaires sont choisis avec soin pour leur exigence qualité et leur respect des standards sociaux. Nos équipes se rendent régulièrement sur place pour garantir le respect de nos engagements.
5️⃣ Les tests de performance anti-UV sont réalisés en France.
