French company Ker Sun oversees every key stage of its production. In Annecy, in the heart of the French Alps, we design our collections, select each fabric, create prototypes, and carry out UV-protection tests as well as quality control. Our team also provides attentive and accessible customer service there. From our logistics hub in Burgundy, in north-eastern France, your orders are carefully prepared and shipped worldwide.

This product is made in China, in the Shanghai region, a cradle of textile expertise recognised worldwide. Dyeing, weaving, tailoring – every step is carried out locally by our trusted partners, carefully selected for their know-how and the rigour of their production standards. This choice is deliberate: it allows us to combine outstanding quality, durability, and controlled pricing, without ever compromising your health.

For your safety, our UV-protective clothing is classified as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by the European Union. As such, it is subject to strict regulatory checks, ensuring reliable and lasting protection, as well as consistent quality.

And because your needs are not all the same, we have also developed a range of garments made in Portugal, using local fabrics that combine European craftsmanship and excellence.

Does the UPF 50+ protection ever wash out?

The UPF 50+ protection does not wash out.

Our sun protective expertise has allowed us to develop fabrics that filter UV rays mechanically. Thanks to the meticulous choice of textile fibers, their optimized density and our advanced weaving techniques, we guarantee a UPF 50+ protection, without added sunscreens, which persists throughout the life of the product, even after many washes.

To preserve the quality and durability of your product, we recommend that you follow care instructions carefully specified on this product sheet (see above) or on the label.

Do I need to apply sunscreen underneath my UPF 50+ clothing?

With Ker Sun sun protective clothing and accessories, there’s no need to apply sunscreen on covered areas.

However, for full protection, it’s important to apply sunscreen to any exposed skin. We recommend applying sunscreen 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapplying every two hours or after swimming, in accordance with the instructions for the product you’re using.

Super couvrant jusqu’aux tempes, léger, sèche très vite. Le seul bémol, c’est que lorsqu’on fait un effort (trek, course à pieds, …), le tissu se colle contre la bouche ou le nez, empêchant vraiment de respirer correctement. Il faudrait un arceau au niveau de la bouche et des narines pour empêcher cela.

Super protecteur du visage, couvrant bien jusqu’aux tempes, léger. Idéal pour la promenade. Seul bémol pour le sport: se plaque sur la bouche lors d’efforts, empêchant de respirer correctement. Peut-être qu’un arceau au niveau de la bouche, ou un empesage éviterait ça?

Mir gefällt die angenehm leichte Qualität des Stoffes und die hervorragend durchdachten Details wie die Befestigungsösen und der leichte Draht im Nasenbereich. Dadurch rutscht nichts. Man kann immer noch gut atmen. Mehr Farbauswahl wäre schön.

Un bon masque

Contrairement au masque Mojave, ce masque est tout à fait utilisable. Il présente un niveau de confort équivalent à celui des masques chirurgicaux bleus que l'on a tous portés pendant le confinement, que ce soit en termes de respirabilité, de légèreté ou de buée sur les lunettes. Pas d'effet de masque qui se colle aux narines, ni de gène au niveau du cou. Comme toujours avec Ker-sun, la protection contre les UV est au top. Contrairement à ce que l'on pourrait croire, il est facile à mettre et à enlever, même avec un gilet à capuche Saint-Malo. Je le conseille sans hésiter pour une activité de tous les jours (je ne l'ai pas testé pour des activités sportives).

Je l'ai acheté suite à des brûlures au visage et au cou pour protéger mes cicatrices du soleil quand je ne peux pas me couvrir autrement (je l'ai toujours dans mon sac à main) : il est confortable, léger, facile à accrocher sans tirer derrière les oreilles et tient bien sur le nez.

Valt te klein voor een volwassen dame. Meer geschikt als kindermaat. De drukknopen achterin de nek sluiten niet, waardoor de flappen los hangen. Helaas ben ik niet tevreden over dit model en draag hem dan ook niet.
