In Annecy, in the heart of the French Alps, we design our collections, select each fabric, create prototypes, and carry out UV-protection tests as well as quality control. Our team also provides attentive and accessible customer service there. From our logistics hub in Burgundy, in north-eastern France, your orders are carefully prepared and shipped worldwide.

This product is made in China, in the Shanghai region, a cradle of textile expertise recognised worldwide. Dyeing, weaving, tailoring – every step is carried out locally by our trusted partners, carefully selected for their know-how and the rigour of their production standards. This choice is deliberate: it allows us to combine outstanding quality, durability, and controlled pricing, without ever compromising your health.

For your safety, our UV-protective clothing is classified as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by the European Union. As such, it is subject to strict regulatory checks, ensuring reliable and lasting protection, as well as consistent quality.

And because your needs are not all the same, we have also developed a range of garments made in Portugal, using local fabrics that combine European craftsmanship and excellence.

Washing and care instructions

  • Machine wash inside out (30°C maximum). Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry.
  • Can be ironed (110°C maximum).

Does the UPF 50+ protection ever wash out?

The UPF 50+ protection does not wash out.

Our sun protective expertise has allowed us to develop fabrics that filter UV rays mechanically. Thanks to the meticulous choice of textile fibers, their optimized density and our advanced weaving techniques, we guarantee a UPF 50+ protection, without added sunscreens, which persists throughout the life of the product, even after many washes.

To preserve the quality and durability of your product, we recommend that you follow care instructions carefully specified on this product sheet (see above) or on the label.

Do I need to apply sunscreen underneath my UPF 50+ clothing?

With Ker Sun sun protective clothing and accessories, there’s no need to apply sunscreen on covered areas.

However, for full protection, it’s important to apply sunscreen to any exposed skin. We recommend applying sunscreen 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapplying every two hours or after swimming, in accordance with the instructions for the product you’re using.

Très jolie mais se positionne difficilement

Écharpe très jolie au niveau du coloris mais elle tient moins bien que la version blanche qui était plus extensible et plus grande. Elle tombe souvent et le tissus est moins agréable à porter. Mais elle est vraiment très jolie.

Super complément à la crème solaire quand on a une peau extrêmement fragile

je souffre d'eczéma atopique sévère et j'ai une peau très sensible au soleil. mettre de la crème solaire n'est pas toujours adapté ou approprié. Cette étole complète la protection, voir la remplace quand il n'est pas possible de faire autrement. Merci pour cette gamme !

Farbe und Muster sind sehr schön. Die Größe ist auch gut. Mir verrutscht der Poncho leider dauernd. Er ist gut geeignet, wenn man irgendwo sitzt. Wenn man geht ist er nicht so gut und auf dem Rad würde ich ihn nicht nutzen.

Cette étole, un indispensable pour débuter

On peut l’utiliser de multiples façons, juste posée sur les genoux pour conduire ou simplement sur les épaules.
Entretien facile, pas de repassage, belle tenue du tissu. Je suis photosensible à cause des anti-rejets suite à une greffe rénale. La peau me pique à la moindre exposition : Je vous assure que c’est un grand confort que d’avoir cette étoile pour débuter la gamme. Merci Ker Sun.
